2022 Cooking for Kids

18th Annual Tribute Dinner & Auction
Saturday, April 9, 2022 | 6 pm to 9 pm

You're invited to join us!

“Cooking for Kids” is LESA’s largest annual fundraising effort to support and sustain the future of Lutheran Christian education in the St. Louis Metro Area. Last year’s “Cooking for Kids” raised $267,000 for need-based scholarships and educational resources such as STEM programs, professional development and curriculum guides.

This year’s event includes a live auction, scholarship fund-a-need, 50/50 drawing and special tributes to our Lutheran luminaries including LESA’s 2022 Heritage Club Honorees John & Marilyn Brickler, and the 500 Lutheran educators who have been teaching students in-school throughout the pandemic.

Presenters include: Jim Dankenbring and Dave Drewes. Tickets are $75. New this year, the silent auction will be online opening April 2 and closing April 9.

Since 2004, LESA has awarded more than $6.5 million in financial assistance to families of all faiths in St. Louis and southern Illinois. To help advance that mission, the Lutheran Legacy Foundation, one of three of our endowment partners, has pledged to provide a generous match for endowment gifts and pledges made in 2022. Thanks to a generous family, there is a $100,000 match for scholarship gifts.

Featuring the Gannon Family, proprietors of Stephanina's Pizzeria & Restaurant

We’re pleased to announce that Stephanina’s restaurant is cooking things up in the kitchen to support Lutheran schools.

Originally founded by Stefanina Roderick Vitale, Denise Gannon, a long-time employee, purchased Stefanina with her husband Ryan, and her brother and sister-in-law Greg and Kristin Raeman. The Gannons and Raemans took ownership in 2000 and strive to uphold the quality and tradition that Stefanina began 30 years ago and continue to honor her original recipes while remaining a small and independent family-owned business.  The Gannon’s are alumni of Immanuel Lutheran School and Church in St. Charles.

Our goal is simple, to create “Fellowship in the Spirit.” Cheers!

All proceeds benefit Lutheran students.
