If you love Lutheran schools and you love great food...then hurry and get your tickets here to "Cooking for Kids," Saturday, April 7, 2018, from 5-10 p.m., at the Orlando Gardens South. Executive Chef Rick Lewis, co-owner of Grace Meat + Three is serving a unique and distinctive four-course dinner and a signature cocktail highlighting his newest culinary venture Grace Meat + Three. Rick has won considerable acclaim for his work at Quincy Street Bistro and Southern Restaurant. The evening includes an open bar along with beer selections from Anheuser-Busch, wine selections and a bourbon tasting hosted by The Wine & Cheese Place. McArthur's Bakery sweetens the evening with dessert.
Lutheran school alumni, Jeff Bernthal, FOX 2 (bottom left) is the emcee and Matthew Bohlmann (2nd from left), a 3rd year seminary student is the auctioneer. The silent and live auction has fabulous prizes including two tickets to the Broadway performance of Hamilton at the Fox Theater among other awesome gifts.
Our honorees include John Diefenbach (far bottom right), the 2018 Heritage Club honoree and Lars Gindler (3rd from left,) an 8th grader at Good Shepherd Lutheran School in Collinsville, IL is the Student Christian Leader.
Funds raised at this event benefit our 35 member schools serving 8,800 students through Building Block Scholarships and Educational Resources. To date, we have awarded more than $4.6 million in financial assistance to students of all faiths.
