Our Savior, Fenton, Expands Early Childhood Program

(Fenton, MO) June 23, 2016 - Our Savior Lutheran School in Fenton is expanding its Early Childhood Center to include a new preschool program for two-year olds.

The program, which begins Aug. 18, will offer full and half-day sessions. Enrollment options include two days (Tue/Thurs), three days (Mon/Wed/Fri) or five days (Mon-Fri). Before and after-care will also be available from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The new two-year old class will be taught by Ms. Katherine Brooner, who joins Our Savior from Open Arms Christian Childhood Development Center near Chicago. Brooner holds a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education.

“We’re very excited about this expansion,” said Michelle Eggold, Principal of Our Savior. “We’re always looking for new ways to serve the community around us and this is something that families have been asking about.”

Our Savior’s preschool program features a low student-teacher ratio, learning through play and an emphasis on faith and community. This fall the school will introduce a new program called “Preschool Partners,” which pairs preschool families with K-8 families to provide information and support.

“We’re a very family-oriented school,” said Eggold. “We want families to get to know one another and to feel a sense of community when they’re here.”

Eggold says the school will host an Open House later this summer, but interested families can arrange a tour now by calling the school’s office 636-343-7511, or e-mailing her at meggold@oursaviorlcs.org.
