Brew, Food & Music Lineup Announced for 7th Annual "Brew in the Lou" at Francis Park - Oct. 12, 2019

(St. Louis, MO) September 9, 2019 – LESA’s 7th Annual “Brew in the Lou” Festival, presented by Thrivent Financial, will offer one-stop tasting of St. Louis’s best beer, wine, spirits and food favorites when it returns to Francis Park, Sat. Oct. 12, 2019, from 1-5 p.m. About 60 tasting stations will line the banks of The Lily Pond, including more than 40 local, regional and national craft breweries, distilleries and wineries.

Wristbands are $40 advance/$50 day-of-event and can be bought online at www.LESAstl.org, or over the phone at (314) 200-0797. (Advance sales close at midnight, Thurs., Oct. 10.) Admission includes unlimited tastings and a keepsake commemorative glass. And new this year for Brew fans who want more than a tasting – a select number of food vendors will have full-size servings available for purchase.

And back this year by popular demand – an additional “Brew in the Lou” Home Brew Bottle Competition sanctioned by the St. Louis Brews Home Brewer’s Club to benefit our schools. New this year – the winning home brew will be served on tap at Twisted Rootslocated at 3690 Forest Park Ave. Registration is open now and will be limited to 200 entries. There will be three judging sessions: Tue., Sept 24 at 6 p.m. and Fri., Sep. 27 at 6 p.m. at The Stellar Hog (5623 Leona St., St. Louis, MO), and Sat., Sep 28th from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Epiphany Lutheran Church (4045 Holly Hills Blvd, St. Louis, MO). Proceeds from “Brew in the Lou” benefit students and teachers served by the St. Louis -based Lutheran Elementary School Association (LESA). Last year’s festival attracted 2,100 beer and food enthusiasts and raised a record $107,000 for Lutheran schools in the St. Louis Metro Area.

More than 7,000 children of all faiths attend LESA member Lutheran schools in the St. Louis Metro Area, making Lutheran schools the second-largest private school system in the Bi-State Region.
